Rubber Roofing (EDPM)

As my flat (2 tier) garage roof is leaking, I need it recovered before the
autumn/winter comes along.

Are rubber roofs really as good as they say? No maintenance, 40 year life
span etc., or are we talking a too-good-to-be-true.

Opinions etc. appreciated before I spend a fortune on something I did not
need. ;-)

If anyone can recommend a place in the Midlands that would be a great help
too.

Many thanks.

I did some research on this recently re the flat roof on my house.

Generally speaking I'd say the jury is still out.

There is a part at the front of my house which has been done with this stuff
and it looks as though it will last a long time - but we still get an
occassional small leak and I cannot find where it comes from. It depends on
the way the wind blows and only leaks once or twice a year so I can live
with it.

It works really well where you can have it cut to size and delivered as a
one piece coverall, which in the case of a garage should be possible.

Try a google search on "EPDM roofs" - if you do not mention roofs you will
get a lot of stuff about pond liners which is still the main use for this
stuff.

Our company uses "Prelasti" and has done for the last 8 years, and up to now
I am not aware of any problems with it. Do a search for Prelasti on google.
