transfering money

If i was to transfer money between a bank of scotlan account and a royal bank of scotland account does anyone know how long it will be before the funds are available?

tho i managed to get same day from barclayes to HSBC here

My bank usually tells me 3 working days.

I have no idea why in this day and age, if you got the funds in your account, why it takes so long. Back in the day before the digital era, it was valid for it to do so, but not now.

The majority of banks use the new Faster Payments Service which gets the money from one bank to another in approx 1 hour.

Only the smaller banks don't adopt this system yet!
