I've been tinkering with the car today, changed Air filter & Pollen filter, new battery in the fob etc, nothing major just messing about.

Started up the car and took it for a drive, noticed that the bulb behind the LCD wasnt on and the display was unreadable, popped a couple of new bulbs into the back of the display and now my Airbag Warning Light has come on and wont go off. I've had the car about 8 weeks so I might have bought the car with a dodgy bulb in the display (some sneaky buggers out there) or it might just be coincidence.

Does anyone know of an inexpensive airbag reset tool that will work on a 2001 (y reg) HDI Picasso ? or should I just take it to a garage and pay to get it done ?

No idea mate, lol

But it'll scan your ECU and alert you to any problems :)

Tried it on the, On & off positions, just suddenly appeared after I changed the bulbs in the onboard screen, might have been an airbag fault all along and only noticed it since i put in new bulbs.

always check the connectors under the front seats ,, well known for that

I reckon he just wants the light turned off, lol.

It's probably too bright and it means that the Police can see him drinking his Buckfast as he's driving. ;)

Checked them earlier and the look fine, that connector used to give me problems on my rover45, didnt want to disconnect them on the picasso because I still havent figured out how to get to the battery under the passenger seat lol :)

ROFL, I'm getting slagged by the guy from buckfast capital of EUROPE ;)

worse comes to worse il remove the bulb but that's an MOT failure :(

clip at the rear of the seat and it slides forward m8

I lifted the 2 clips at the rear of the seat, 2 springs pop out of a hole is that right ?, maybe I didnt give it a hard enough push to get it forward though.

think u have to slide the seat right back first the press on the clips

LOL that's where I've went wrong, il try it that way and leave it till lunchtime tomorrow and see if the power down time will make any difference :)

Thanks Smirnoff & Witchy

You're a talented lad :)

I still say we should have a Motoring Section and you be Moderator.

:)

Anyone know what these codes mean ? Or even better have a list of Citroen codes ?
I'm using a Maxidiag FR704 which claims to reset the airbag warning light. It sends a clear code but as soon as I scan again the same 2 codes are still there

[ CITROEN ]
Record1 -> XSARA Picasso -> Airbag -> AUTOLIV EC5/AC4 -> Read Codes
