Re: UK ISPs Start Blocking KickassTorrents, H33T and Fenopy

I thought KA had gone on Sly BB this afternoon when I tried to access it. I downloaded Opera to use the Turbo proxy as a work around but it came back up on Firefox later anyway. Oh well, at least I'm ready

Re: UK ISPs Start Blocking KickassTorrents, H33T and Fenopy

Quick, lets turn this into a "how do we circumvent another lame attempt to block websites" thread with just one Firefox addon.

Read this yesterday, one of my missus friends was posting rubbish on his FB page as it being the end of everything...what a muppet.

When they actually block something that isn't some token gesture to appease the powers that be...let me know.

Re: Virgin Media Gets Court Order To Ban Kick Ass Torrents

OMG not another thread about blocked sites, this is the third in the last two days....

Move on...nothing to see here....

yes another thread about blocked sites!!! .......... they are all in different rooms so its not surprising.

If there are multiple threads in different rooms about the same subject isn't it the mods area of responsibility to

1 combine the threads into one

2 advise members of where they should post.

Its not very helpful to see mods bitching in the post, what you do in the mods rooms is up to you.

Must be my ISP that's blocking them :(

Do you need me also hold your hand while you cross the road?

You're entitled to your opinion, as is everyone but it really isn't very hard see given the close proximity of the threads, I mean it's not like "new" posts are not noticeable, or don't our members read the forums any more and just post randomly?

It's always puzzled me that.

Seems to me the only sensible way to approach the forum is to block the subjects you're not interested in and then always "read new posts". That way you're not going to miss anything.

Pir*te Bay and KAT - Both now banned on vermin media.... Any solution?

Anyway around this problem? I use newsgroups mainly but did enjoy KAT quite a bit. Would I have to go through proxies?

the answer is no and yes, that is why there are multiple post in different rooms.

if folk did it right all the time there would be no need of mods.

you personally have a high level of knowledge of IT and its intricacies and I would assume have been around forums for some years too, not all members of this forum are blessed with the same.

Quite true, although I've merged so far about 5 different posts, some new. Not sure being IT literate has much to do with it.

But I agree in part to some of the points you made, hence why I've started to merge it all together (even more from today)

yep you could use hidemyass.com I know the piratebay works on here and kickass torrents because I use them on Virgin Media.
