cheers for anyhelp

Where exactly is it leaking m8 ? sometimes the plugholes ara not done up tight enough, you should be able to tighten them enough with a screwdriver from the top, another thing is your m8 may not have used any sealer around the plugholes before assembling them, then you will need to take them out and put some plumbers jointing around the hole and reassemble them

turn the tap on and see if it's leaking from the waste pipe the big white bendy thing unless you find out where its comeing from it will be a bugger to fix

could be the seal , that goes round the base.
The part that sits on the worktop.

Loosen it off and put some silicone close the edge and retighten the sink to the worktop

take a look at the u bend it sounds like it is comeing from there it is under the sink in the cupboard you cant miss it it is the wast pipe

if you have a digi camera take a pic so we can see the thing may be more help full if it's not comeing from round the seal to the bottom of the sink it self then it could be the seal in the pipes when they are assembled you put the nut on the pipe first then a plastic washer to compress the cone shaped rubber washer it's usally a washer thats twisted let us know and we can think of more things that could be wrong my missus usally does lo :)

how do u know its the sink it may be a tap joint weeping best way to do it is to dry all pipes and then 1/2 to 1hr later go back and feel all the pipes, joint etc then u will know where it is leaking and the tighten the joint

I agree with davidh, process of elimination is needed. Dry the cupboard out leave for half hour or so ( do not use the sink at all in this time) if the cupboard is wet then the leak is coming from the taps or supply to taps. If the cupboard is dry then you need to run some water down the plughole si nothing is visible put the plug and fill the bowl. It will leak from either the fitting onto the sink or the trap.
if none of the above shows any sign of leak then splash some water around the join of the top/worktop.

Post where the leak is and I'll try and talk you through it.

the best thing to do is dry all joints to taps, fittings, waste trap , waste pipe fittings etc and when all dry get a piece of tissue paper and then go back round all joints and fittings etc until u come across the fitting that makes the tissue paper wet try this. if u have a small leak this will work ,,,,tried and tested m8
