converting mp3 from 320 to 128

I'm looking for exactly the same software at the same time as you lol.
Hope some 1 can point us in the right direction!

I'm sure you can get itunes to re-encode but I'm at work so cannot double check. I say re-encode. You'll actually be left with 2 files, the original and the smaller 128kbps version.

I think its edit > preferences > advanced > select the 'importing' tab > use the 'setting' drop down option to select the 128kbps option. Don't forget to set to MP3 as the default is ACC. Then just import the file.

Sort of allows batch processing too if you add all the MP3s to be re-encoded to a folder and import the folder to the library.

You can also use nero wave editor just remember to set options to mp3 128 also you can chop off any unwanted space on intro's or outro's that are to long.

i tried that but it did not give an option to convert a 320mb mp3 to a 128

Hi Allroad

does m8

single file load file you want to convert

select file \ save copy as then select what file format you want for example mp3 then in new box in options choose bitrate freq etc etc then ok

if you have a load of file todo use batch processing, you can even save the settings as a batch name so the next time you just select the files and call the batch name.

shame on you saying audition cant do it :)

cheers hatab i should have known better !!
