Anyone here had this done, booked in for april to get mine done. Just wondered about peoples experience or opinions on this.

Also has anyone actually paid only £395 an eye ,mine is 2900 for both

Ive not had it done but my Sister has and one of my mates has and they say its changed there life.
Your eyes will be a bit uncomfortable for a few hours then thats it i think.
Good luck. As for getting it cheap i think 2900 is a small price to pay as you only get one pair of eyes so they are worth it m8

i had mine done about 5yr ago. been great for me as glasses were a pain in the r`s. 2900 sounds dear to be honest. normally about 1000 now, unless your eyes are bad i suppose.
the op is over in 5 mins, and although a bit weird smelling your eyes burning with a laser, it didn`t hurt. the most pain i had was about an hour after when i got home and was in real pain for about 30 mins had a sleep and that was that.
good luck

some places just wanna take yer eyes out the prices the charge yer i was thinking of having mine done but its finding a good trusted none blind none robbin Company

My uncle had his done a few months ago and he says its the best money he's ever spent :) Weird seeing him without his glasses lol

ever wondered why lazer surgeons wear glasses?

Funny you should say that I'm booked in to have mine done next month and did wonder why both the doctors that saw me and the receptionist all wore glasses ....thought they would have had it done as a perk

Cheers

nara gave you a link to the most recent thread on this subject. I posted in there as I am having mine done this year in Goa.
Instead of paying £2900 here, why not have a 2 or 3 week holiday in Goa and pay round about £200 to have your eyes done. Flights and accommodation will be around £600 for 3 weeks, spending money about £300 and 2-300 for your laser surgery.

Total cost around £1200 and you have a cracking holiday to boot.

Dont know if this is possible but can you get laser eye surgery done in India for a lazy eye (Amblyopia)?

they could have an eye condition which laser surgery is not an option like i have,

however i dunno if i would have it as it not been proven in the long run. i have also been in for eye tests and heard other ppl tell the staff that their surgery was like 7 year before and now they going back to the same as before.

my mate had it done, its says 350 a eye but his bill came to 1500 and his eye sight is worse after 5months they said it will take another 6 months to get better.

I had it done 9 years ago and all is fine

I had Lasik which is where they use a micro keretome to cut a flap in teh corneal layer and then they lift it before zapping. Both eyes were done on the same day and within 4-5 hours of the operation I was reading menus on tables across the restaurant.

The next day I had 20-15 vision and today still have 20-20

I had mine done in Montreal and paid £950 for both eyes - in th UK at teh time I was looking at over 2k!

Just one word of warning though, especially with summer coming up. You will end up poking yourself in the eye numerous times while you try to push the glasses back up you nose that are no longer there! It takes some getting used to.

I do not however recommend PRK which is the one that they wait for 6 months between eyes and they scrape / disolve the corneal layer before zapping. PRK was the one that Optimax used to do a lot of and tried to persuade people that way rather than the Lasik.

Trust me go Lasik - there is a new one out now but I have no real info on it - I no longer need it do i!!!!!

You should have it done, its one of the best things I've ever done in my life..

Although, I wouldn't go with any old company, your eyes are important. Although you see all the adds for £400 per eye, normally its more like £1k +.

But its money well spent, 2 years on and I'm still as happy as I was the first day.

At the least get a free consoltation done somewhere, at least to make sure you can have it done, cause not everyone can!

Go for it!!
