Macbook Pro RAM

I have a Macbook Pro 2.16GHz Intel Core 2 Duo 15.4".
I want to install 4GB of RAM i.e. 2 x 2GB sticks.
I have heard in some places that the max capacity is 3GB and in other places the max capacity is 4GB?
Whats the real max capacity?!

I think and am pretty certain that 4gb will work in a macbook as the Leopard operating system allows this to happen i think!

On here 4GB. Think it will depend on your model. The newer Macbooks are much thinner.

Thats for the Intel Core Duo m8. Mine is a Intel Core 2 Duo.
