anyone now a bit about tv's , there coming out on monday to look at it ,

but does it look like they will have to take away . said if they do its over 5 days and they might not have a spare for me to use ?

if l pull the power lead out the back it works again for a few hours , so it might not play up when there here

 
It may just be a fault inside it like a loose wire or something like that and it might be easy to fix, Hopefully they wont need to take it away and if they do then the should give you a replacement untill then.

Looks like a faulty component on the lcd driver board, perhaps a capacitor as you say it takes a couple of hours to do that, so that would mean it could be heat related

Had samsung out to replace a board in my parents plasma, just swapped the board here, was done within half hour!

Hopefully its the same for you
 
looks like a fault with the mapping board attached to the screen itself, can be caused by the ribbon cable that attaches to it oxidising slightly, which is very common
