I've just been listening to an excellent interview: Mark Lawson talking to Leonard Cohen on Radio 4's Front Row.

Well worth taking the opportunity of "Listening again" on the Radio 4 page of the BBC.

Not sure when it becomes available - Friday's edition is still up there.

Monday 9 July
Mark Lawson presenting

Leonard Cohen
From the movies of Robert Altman to the cartoon Shrek and a celebrated episode of the sit-com Absolutely Fabulous, the music of Leonard Cohen has been widely featured. His songs have been recorded by artists including Bob Dylan and KDLang. In this Front Row Special, the influential but reclusive Canadian singer-songwriter discusses the origins of his songs - including Suzanne, Hallelujah and Take This Waltz; what inspires his artwork; why he spent five years as a Buddhist monk; and what it's like to discover, at the age of 70, that your pension fund has disappeared.

Leonard Cohen. A Private Gaze is at the Richard Goodall Gallery in Manchester until August 18
The Essential Leonard Cohen is available on Columbia Records
