Searching

Hi Guys,

Quick question about searching please?
How can you search for threads with all the words in your search?

IE if i do a search on "what is the best funcard to buy" it comes back with loads of posts about buying stuff, things about best stuff loads of posts with funcard in, etc.

So how do you say to the system "I want to you find all these words".

I was going to ask the same question. I am trying to find posts about "info bar" for dreambox but "info bar" search comes back with loads of posts that contain just one of these words.

try doing the search in google type in the following:

your search here site:http://www.digitalworldz.co.uk

and replace the "your search here" with what your searching for!!!

didn't realised it worked on a forum search, it does tho' lol

No, already tried that, tried various boolean expressions, no good

Edit:

Just tried again putting this into the search -> "info bar"

It even lists some results that don't have either words in the post content

*confused*

Also found if I go to the opening page http://www.digitalworldz.co.uk/
And click on the SEARCH link, nothing happens.

I have to click on FORUMS then SEARCH to get the search window to open!

Could someone else try this and confirm if it is a problem my end or is there a problem with the forum search feature?

seems like a browser problem your end, have u tried a different browser as the search feature works fine this end.

have you tried this:

try doing the search in google type in the following:

your search here site:http://www.digitalworldz.co.uk

and replace the "your search here" with what your searching for!!!

also in advanced search change the search settings to search titles of threads only, don't search the full threads as its a pain at times bringing back too many unwanted posts.
