I have recently acquired a new R220 epson printer and my genuine ink is running out,no way am i gonna pay 20+ for genuine inks, so was wondering what would be the best compatible inks for the printer via fleabay or would i be better of with an ink sytem refillable etc....

Thanx in advance........

if you can get to a computer fair or something similar...I got a r220 and got 3 sets of compatible in for £12...(18 Cartridges)That was in Bowlers in Manchester..

Personally I think Jet-Tec is the best compatible ink there is and for your printer it is £13 for the 6 cartridges at SVP.

Also what about the Continuous Ink Supply Systems from SVP at £30, they have aprox 7 cartridges worth of ink for each cartridge which is a massive saving. BTW....I dont know if they are any good..lol

i get my epson r300 ink which is compatiable with the r230 i think from www.diskdepot.co.uk
cheap for paper and stuff too

under £4 for a 6 ink set is very cheap!! never had a problem with quality but sometimes there a little fussy on them but a quick blow on the chip and pushed in firmly always gets them in the end!

I've been using a Continuous Ink Supply System for about a year and a half with my Epson R300. Works perfectly and is cheap and easy to refill when it does eventually run out. I'd recommend them.

how much does one of those cost? I only pay £4 for a set of 6 inks which last me about 100 A4 Sheets maybe a little less

do you need to have the lid of the printer off all the time?
