Which country in your opinion produces the best beers / lagers?

I like UK stuff as i find the American beers too watery and some of the German stuff is too bitter.

I think I'll make this a poll.

Whenever I drink Becks (Germany) my piss smells like those old 'odd fellow' sweets! :)

My favourite is Mexican, Sol (with a bit of lime) but in general i prefer the American beers.

Mine is Fosters, The amber nectar takes some beating. Also a big fan of uk bottled ales i.e summer lightning hop-back brewery

UK Real Cask Ale for me, but some of the Micros in Canada are good:)

I went for the UK as I prefer Bitter. If you like real cask ale then deffo UK.
I'm even lucky enough to live round the corner from a micro brewery.
It's called Bank Top brewery. Not sure if you can get it near you peeps but it's good stuff and in lots of pubs in and around Bolton.
1 of the brews is called "flat cap" hmmmmmmmmmmm :)
It used to be called Fred Dibnahs flat cap after the local steaplejack, but I believe his wife wanted some of the royalties LOL
The guy who owns it does tours round the brewery with lots of sampling on the way and even more afterwards.
Now that guy CAN organise a p*ss up in a brewery !!!!!! lol

Oh I know where bank top is.....;)

I am close to the Three Bees Micro, and my dad had a pub in totti outside Bury:)

to be honest here, english beer is like rats piss. ( not that ive drank rats piss )
Japanese beer is nice, Soporo i had when i was there. all Jap beer about 5% proof, but all nice and no hangover.
German beer is just Gas

but the best without a shadow of a doubt is the Belgian Stella Artois ( having a tin as i type here ).
Closely followed by Kronenberg 1664, i think its French.

I am only talking about Lagers here

oh i forgot about Holsten Pills, wher`s that from, think i am getting pisse* at the thought now me mouth is watering.

What a question! I could go on forever... :)

Im a german beer fan, as Im a yearly oktoberfest reveller. The beer and meat are second to none (and the laaadies too mmmm)

Don't go by Becks by any means, Hofbräu, Paulaner, Löwenbräu all produce great stuff due to the Germany purity law, doesn't give you a headache in the morning ethier!

very interesting reply, would you class yourself as a pisshead,?
only i think i am. LOL

Best beers I've had in a while have been

Baltika - Russia
&
Kronenbourg Blanc - France

Of course it helped that one of my last employers was Scottish & Newcastle.

Monthly beer vouchers, company shop, promotions, tastings & best of all...a bar on site with free grub :)

Was going to say "Probably the best company in the world", but it wasn't lol

Belgium without a doubt. My favorite Stella Artois is about the weakest beer there......lol

Brother-in-law lived there for a few years and brought me back some fine beers from there. I can remember sampling a few 11% ones. Feckin' steaming.....lol
