liked this bit :)

Some appliances are now fitted with moulded plugs. The fuse is accessible for replacement but the wires are not. You should not remove this plug unless it is essential to do so. If you do need to remove the plug, take it out of the mains socket and cut the cable as close to the plug as possible. Remove the fuseholder and fuse. Destroy the fuseholder clip and dispose of the plug so that no child might plug it into a mains socket and receive an electric shock.

very good advice

is this a joke thread or is this just because of the level of members know how ?

Well, not everyone does know how to put a plug on.

If everyone knew how to do everything there would be no point in a forum.

looking in side the plug with the top of and pins facing down with the middle pin at the top
its
bLue to the Left
bRown the the Right with the Right fuse Rating
and the last wire in the last hole

if you not already guessed the second letter of the wire color
denotes which side it goes that how i was taught

Thats the way I was taught too :) nice and easy

This is worrying!! Being a sparks by trade this is very worrying. Saying that I know a lot of sparks who can't wire a plug properly!

well next time i need a sparks ill get him to wire a plug first. that way i can see if he is a sparks from hell or not...

next they will be telling me a plumber dont know how to fit a tap.... what is the world coming to....

The only thing a plumber can do is scratch his head and say "Mmmmm, that don't look too good to me"

Ever seen Rouge Traders!!!!!!!

:T :T
