In limbo!
This is the best batter i have ever made stays coated to the fish and is light and crispy.

you will need

1 cup of plain flour
3/4 cof a cup of water
1/2 a teaspoon of baking powder
1/2 teaspoon of salt
1 tbsp of malt vinegar

sift the flour to remove lumps and even out the gluten content in the flour. add salt vinegar and baking powder and mix well with water. whisk till smoth and bubbly.

coat your haddock or cod or whatever fish you like and deep fry for 3-5 minutes or untill batter is golden brown.

my kids absolutly loved this for tea tonight and im sure you will too give it a whirl this good friday with some lovly haddock from grimsby ;)

I'll have at go at making that. Nice one

the best batterer I've ever had was from me woman, of course you can't beat the nuckle approach in batter making either. LOL

you can ofc change the 3/4 cup of water for beer but make sure its a good yeasty ale not a lager lol.

If you dip the fish in flour first most batters stick better
