setting up for cable

not used a hybrid tuner but maybe it might change to dvb/c after.

what settings are you scanning with netid and qam in use and where?

sorry bud went to bed have work this morning
uploaded a pic last night showing settings easier than trying to explain #11
but also in tuner config i changed it from dvb-t to dvb-c but when i scan only scans t
many thanks

can you go into "tuner configuration" from your "service stting" menu ?..if so change "tuner type" from them...left or right on your remote normally does it..hopefully it will change it to "dvb -c" see my picture....then save and try scanning again..if that dont work you could try ABM in this thread HERE

have set it to dvb-c but still scans dvb-t
dont think abm will make a difference tbh as not setting to dvb-c seems to be the issue

Not knowing anything about these boxes, seems logical to try and change the image either a older one or newer?

just flashed vix image and set net id lol
scanning now but dont think i'm getting cable tbh even tho i have a vm line in

@Abu Baniaz @johnny bravo

many thanks to all for your help
now to get a 48 hour gift ( if you know what i mean ) and see how i get on
kindest regards and thank you so very much

channels no showing
abm not showing any channels

no abm found no channels no errors
but when i had cable to box none to modem searched and found all
now modem connected wont find a thing with scan for cable
going to try a single scan in a mo

no m80nas getting channels on scan just not showing
net id is correct afaik
think it is because banquets are not updated which will not find them

You probably do not have enough signal to survive adding a splitter.

sorry m80 but internet working and scan working but abm is not getting it
doing a complete service scan now picking up everything
getting 100 meg bb so dont think it is signal thats while doing scan

You are posting in double/triple negatives which makes understanding issues difficult.

Can I suggest the following?

Disconnect the router and connect the receiver to that wire directly.
Run ABM.
In your bouquets, check BBC 1, BBC2, ITV, Channel 4 and Channel 5 only. All 5 should work if NetID is correct. All others will be encrypted, so no point testing others.
Do those 5 channels work? Please respond to this question with either "101 -105 work" or "101-105 do not work".

Reconnect your router etc and check 101-105 again. Is this second test a success or a failure?

Just because you have internet, it does not mean your signal levels are adequate for an additional device. They balance the power levels based on equipment you hire from them. There is typically a 3db drop per port when you add a splitter.

If ABM completes, but channels 101-105 in ABM bouquets do not work, you have the wrong NetID.

i had problems last week something about a noise on my line , had the engineer over and he pinched my splitter box(only pay for internet and phone) he hooked up a ASH-GISX101-VM01 Isolator on then the internet cable connected off that , got a new splitter box ect and hooked my Zgemma box up , all i got was tuner fail , internet fine ???

so took off the Isolator and both work fine

have you got a Isolator connected on yours ????

do we have a location to check if netid is correct,is qam 256 in use?

sorry back now
i hooked box up to line no splitter abm worked but only on vm not sat ? dont ask
put channel 101- 105 all worked even when cable feed was took out ? no idea
but abm worked fine for cable side
net id correct no qam 256 not in use

very surprised as a lot of channels in hd use qam 256 so would lower the amount found.

was it the sat channels you were looking at when cable was removed?
