What splitter do I need to split VM signal? I bought a 6way splitter from amazon but soon as I connect it my broadband doesnt connect.

I have my Sundtek tuner connected to a VU+ Duo but dont see a way of ABM scanning DVB im using openvix.

Looks like iv bought the wrong splitter

I'm still waiting on my cable tuner arrive.
But I posted previously about this and was told it had to be....
5-1000Mhz. (NOT 5-2450Mhz)

Yep having read looks like I got 2500mhz one. I used to have loads of splitters have no idea what I did with them. Annoyed the one VM installed a single connection in the white box.

Think im sorted, just got my splitter done a scan and found 435 channels just need to setup ABM and EPG

Ok using as FTA only but BBC1 and 2 not working just getting tune failed is that normal? ITV Ch4 ad 5 seem ok.

You need the net id for your area to clear bbc 1-2 through ABM and use EPG refresh for cable crossepg is not that great on cable

Iv done about everything I can think of to get the FTA channels work including a manual scan, still no joy. Alot of channels are showing tune failed.

Using latest version of openvix and up to date drivers.

No idea what this does but removed it and everything in terms off getting FTA is now working!!

The signal now looks like this

Is everything looking good and does anyone know what the 6dB attenuator is used for?

Mine is on my modem I might remove it see if there is a change its been on since I got the new super hub set up by VM so thought it was essential

An attenuator reduces the signal power level. A splitter reduces it too.

If the VM engineer added a 6db attenuator which has been removed, and splitter now reduces by 3db, you would need a 3db to balance the signal correctly.

I will add another splitter downstairs as I moved everything into the loft...

Whilst your online iv come across another issue lol...

So after sorting my signal issue, setting ABM custom to swap HD channels everything on my cable tuner gives me the following error

No data on transponder!

(timeout reading PAT)

FTA is working so on DVB-C but thats all, DVB-S2 all working fine... I want make sure everything is working properly before making any other changes

On cable, if channel 1-5 is working, then NetID is correct. Issue is most likely signal related.

Added yellow brick amp changed splitter, changed cables but still nothing. How am I meant to test Signal? Signal Meter is telling me 99% with 0 BER yet nothing is clearing. It was 87% without yellow brick.

There are only a few channels that are free. I'm guessing you are using ABM. Do all the channels in the Virgin FTA bouquet work?

To test signal, I would select the provider for your area, and go through the predefined transponders.

I dont think it can be signal issue everything is at 99%

To eliminate everything I connected directly to incoming cable with yellow brice and without 1-5 work the rest dont say tune failed but

im just getting blank screen... Not even getting the No data on transponder!

(timeout reading PAT) error now...

If I do auto scan without ABM its picking up all the channels

Is there any other config I should triple check or am I just waiting my time.

ABM does not have autoscan

Please conduct the following check:
Run ABM. Check the channels in the Virgin FTA bouquet. Do all the channels in the FTA bouquet work? A simple yes/no answer without involving other variables would be better.

If channels in ABM's FTA bouquet do not work, you are using the wrong NetID.

Enigma2 does not recognise UK net IDs. You can use any NetID and do a conventional scan, it will still scan.

Yes everything except the africa channel work in VM FTA

Sorry, out of ideas. Maybe you can ask Sundtek for any suggestions.

Not sure I can post link to their chat site as it they are a retailer

I'm just going to send it back to wos for refund. Isn't worth the hassle.

I have modified xml so that the Africa channel does not show up as FTA.

If you can view the FTA channels fine, it is a decryption issue. You will have the same "hassle" with any other tuner.
