Is it ok to unplug Virmin box and use Zgemma in it's place or better to split signal and leave virmin box in situ as basic package in place for tome being?

Sorry so it's ok to just connect Zgemma?

simple answer is yes, I have left mine plugged in purely for recording series links, but its the zgemma that's watch every day movies in HD :)

Yes the zgemma will work fine with the same feed. Take off the subbed box and put the zgemma in its place.

Thanks Guys. I was just concerned about any talkback to Virmin as I have tv as part of sub and wondered if they would know if genuine box was disconnected.
Much Appreciated all.

my tivo box is never plugged in, they know this but don't seem too concerned.

if asked, (which i doubt) just say you don't like the tivo box but take the tv,phone and broadband package as their sales rep said it would be cheaper.. ;)

I've not had my tivo box plugged in for over 2 years now and haven't been asked yet. I've found the best thing to do is to ring up customer services and take the minimum package for the free channels along with any bb and landline phone package (they throw the tivo in free for existing customers but not sure if its the same for new customers). once you've done that and the tivo arrives. plug the tivo in to set up and once its finished disconnect the tivo and and put your c/s box on. they don't charge you for the tv and it works out cheaper than just getting bb and phone.
