Hi guys...

It's all gone tits up. Got a new box, and programmed a Tit Card for it. Everything worked, but the network ID was set to Acton, which is nowhere near me.

So, I connected to the box with Libby, and changed the Network ID to my area.

The box is a 1000 model, and the area is ex CW.

Now, the problems start...

After I changed the network ID to here (and yes, I'm sure it's the right ID!), the box tried to download software. I think it tried to upgrade the CR in the box. Anyway, it came up with a screen saying it was updating, updated for about 5 mins, screen went blank, and the whole process repeated itself... The happens again, and again, and again.

Sometimes, after about an hour, the NTL screen just comes up blank. In the engineering menu, it says tuning parameters corrupt. I've tried changing the network ID to what it was before but nothing works.

So, any ideas? I'd be grateful for any help anybody can give me.

Thanks

Go into your Engineers Menu and check on the signal strength, you might have a tuner problem or capacitors on the underside of the board gone if it is in the red, are you sure your getting a good signal from that feed on other boxes, if you have split your cable then it might have downgraded the signal quallity ok.

nothing has been modded on the box other than talkback

also. signal strength was fine,

how do i fix corrupt flash? why was it working before and not now?

please help -

i've done everything people mentioned, but I can't do a forced update. I reset the box by pulling red jumper and now when I turn it on the LED screen is just - - - -.

I cannot get into engineering menu, and cannot set the net ID with libby. So, I cannot do a forced update...

Any ideas?
