Hi Guys

I have posted this request as a reply to another thread, So sorry for posting this again, But thought I may get some help as new thread.

So here goes.

I have just bought this programmer and have this problem.

The programmer will program cards using the Infinity USB software provided via USB fine. I have managed to program, read and clone a funcard4 and read a ATMega163 without problems

But when go into phoenix mode and I try and use MultiProg 1.90 to just read the card I get the message

No Programmer Found

I have downloaded the test program for it from Ad Teknik here

[DLMURL]http://www.adteknik.se/english/download.htm[/DLMURL] Called MP Test

When I run this program it reports the same.

I have tried it on another pc and using another serial cable but the same error exists.

I am doing something wrong or was I just unlucky and got a duff one.

Any help would be thankfully received.

Cheers

Joe

Are you plugging both the usb cable and the serial cable togther? if not then make sure u have them both plugged in. Also make sure u put the programmer in the phoenix mode.

Hope this helps.

Yes I'm plugging both in at the same time.
I have had the programmer swapped for another one just in case it was faulty.
When I go into phoenix mode the software drops down to systray and then If I start Multiprog and try and do anyhing it just comes back with this message.
I'm using Multiprog 1.90 if that makes any difference at all.
Do you have this programmer?

Cheers

Joe

Sounds like you havent loaded the drivers for the usb infinity from the little minidisk that came with it. When you connect, new hardware wiz should start and choose disk as location of drivers.

There is no need to plug the usb and the serial you only need the usb plugged in.

Im going with hannibal i dont think you have loaded the drivers from the cd properly. after you have done that go to the website which should be in your instruction manual and get the latest updated drivers. if it still dont work do a search in your control pannel for new hardware and install the minidisk that way it should find it then.

I haven't used multiprog but if it's like most other utilities which connect over the serial cable then there should be some configuration options where you have to specify which com port the programmer is attached to. So make sure that is set correctly, and if that fails if you have a 2nd com port try swapping to that one as there may be something (like a modem) conflicting with your current com port

ive got a dynamite and i have the same problem. its not compatible with MultiProg 1.90 because ive used other software in phoenix mode but MultiProg 1.90 always says no programmer found from my point of view you need a phoenix programmer not a emulator. : grim :

Agree m8 can't get Multiprog 1.90 to recognize my dynamite in phoenix mode, got round problem by switching off verify during programming (Cas Studio 5.1) so that i could prog the ext eprom

Well Thanks for all the replies guys.

I have got the drivers loaded and the cables connected but No Joy.
I think we can safely assume this programmer cannot use Multiprog 1.90 as other post have been asking the same question.

I have managed to program a Funcard4 with the software it comes with so no problem there.

I am trying to program an atmega now.
I only have the option of loading a Flash file, Int.EEprom and Ext.EEprom.
Should I use the toxic6 file, adjust it with Nagra and then load it and the Inteep file to the card.

Sorry guys silly question let me do the search on this and read tut before asking.

Thanks again for all your replies.
They really helped in working out if I was doing something wrong or not.

Cheers

Joe
