Hello There,
I'm Trying To Open The Latest Rst File But I Keep Getting A Message From Windows That The File Is In An "unknown Format Or Damaged".can Anyone Help???i've Been Told That Its Windows Security.anyone Know How To Turn Windows Security Off????????i'm On Xp Pro If That Helps.much Appreciated.

Try internet options then click on the security tab? see ifyou can change it from there? im on xp pro with no probs?are you able to actually download it just not open it?What are you using to open the file type eg rar zip or hex etc as windows wont open rar files you will need a third party software to try that, hope im not telling what you already know just thought it may help if not?

All the best
Marc

yes m8.Tried downloading again no use.I can download it just not open it.Any idead anyone pleaseeeeeeeee? At the moment I'm looking at the black death.

Hi Matey
If you cant open then try downloading winrar which is for opening rar files, you may be getting the security warning because of an unknown file typoe trying to be opened on the system.
All you need basically is a program that can undo rar files.
if you look here they do a trial version of winrar http://www.rarlab.com/
that shouyld be enough for what you need, give it a go i think it will solve the security issue as well.

Hey mate,
I've already got winrar but the same error message is coming up.I already had it to start with. Its something to do with BoxKey Extractor when I tried creating an int. eep. file.Any ideas m8??

Not sure why bke would cause the problem matey,im running xp pro sp2 with no worrys ive just tried bke and it worked ok,altho i do think with bke it will only create a flash file for rst not an inteep so if your using that maybe this causes it? the inteep and flash are only written for nce/distance,thats what i was told the other day.
Have you tried using either rst or nce without using the bke to create the files?
It should be a simple case just to illiminate the problem and progs the card at the same time, whatever method you use dont cross match the files as they arent compatible, with RST the bk and ird are stored in the flash ,with nce they are in the inteep so again something to double check, and your inteep for rst is the file that you are /were trying to open and flash on nce.
Hope that helps matey

Have you got an old rst file on the system you could try accessing to see if you get the same error?
Have u had this problem before at all?
If you have got an old rst file open it up with notepad (obviously the file fopr your area)then see if you can open the new one in notepad?if you can could you then read the top 2 lines of the new one and copy them across to the old rst file (in notepad )and replace the old lines with the new ones, then click save and this should give you an updated rst for your area,(i dont think doing it that way that you would need to change the checksum as you would be copying that across as well)
Once thats done can you then get the old(with new file)to open up and be able to prog it to your card or whatever?
Just a thought matey may be long winded but im still learning myself.
Hope it helps atb
