my locked funcard is locked

over the summer my NT! box got zapped as i have heard thats what you guys call it ,... anyway back to my problem...i went to get the card reprogrammed at this shop and they came back to me and said the card is locked...i said to them cant they remove the locks and they go u need to take it to the person u bought it from i said to them i know my Box Key and IRD number but they said it doesnt matter...can someone please help me other wise im gonna have to buy another £200 box which i dont wanna do.

Buy yourself a Funcard programmer and a new Funcard (Don't know if they can be erased if locked).

That will cost you about £30 and then you can program your own and update it as required .

u say get another funcard but i dont know what information to put on it... i downloaded some programes but dont know what to do with them...the only one i need but dont have it the funviewer v2b...can u help me out

You will need to put these into a hex generator to produce the file to write to your card.

to program a new fun card what software and information will i need??

M8 funcards are not as difficult as they may sound , get urself the gear u need have a search about and when opps I mean if u get stuck u can ask and we will help

The software for the programmer depends on where you buy your programmer from. Normally the hardware vendor supplies it.

You need a hex generator, RsT is recommended.

Have a read on here, it is all explained somewhere.

ok ill introduce myself im Jay from London...i have lost my channels and found out that my card is locked...im really stupid in these kinda things and dont wanna end up paying for a new cable box.

I use an Elvis programmer NCE and MultiProg

would that work on a openplatform funcard 4?

Funcards are all the same apart from EEPROM size, 8515 based microcontrollers.

An Elvis multiprogrammer will program a Funcard 4.

I have an 'Elvis' and find it a very well supported unit and the SW available is easy to use .

i have ordered the black infinity USB programmer and 2 fun cards i did 2 just incase... ill tell u what software i have tell me if that is what i need please... i got the MultiProg, RsTGen, nce_rev_2017, X2Nceepgen, and the Nagraedit. i know nagraedit dont work on funcards but i got this software....can someone tell me if i need anything else

You shouldn't need anything else.

if i want to make a new funcard with the new NTL keys how do i do that?

thanx man...how do i know if im NTL or C/W before there was NTL in my area it was C/W but i never had digital TV from C/W only analog...i waited till i got digital and when i did it was from NTL so kinda confused...
