500 c with enigma

hi ,

can i just patch a dw.image over this with dream up

because i can not get into tuxbox via remote ,and i no i could easily edit keys if i had that image
on me system

if there are other stages i need to do before this please reply and let me no the steps
i am new to cable but have ten years experience with sat boxes.......but this is all new and we all
had to start off somewhere!!

I am very new to all this. I've got to say fistly that this is such a great forum - so thanks to all for all the excellent info avaiable on here. I was wondering same query as above.

I have the same issue and wanted to install the dw image but currently have an enigma image.

Excuse my ignorance but have never done this b4 so just want to get it right. From what I gather I need to connect my dreambox 500c to my pc with a cross over cable. I need a program like dreamup to install a new image and I should possibly take a back up of the current image too? If I can simply patch a dw. image over the old one that would be fab!

Any guidance for this newbie will be much appreciated! Sorry to ask such basic questions.
