Hi Guys,

Is there a way i can improve my speeds while connected via a router.

Currently connected directed to PC aqm getting 16mb-17mb

Connected to router wired getting 10mb-11mb

Connected wirelessly getting 6-7mb :(

My subbed connected to another wireless router is gving perfect 2mb wirelessly.

Could it be router issue, using a shite cnet router.

Any suggestions...

On another point:

I have connected my subbed to another wireless router, do i need to use it to show vm am using subbed or as long as its on it should be fine???

I have the same issue and have tried two different routers D-link & Netgear. I get similar results with both.

I would like to see other peoples results if they are willing to test it out. It may be a problem with some routers and not others which would be good to know which ones to avoid.

hi,

Was looking at chetnet forums and it looks like most of the routers in the market still only do WAN port at 10Base-T whereas the ethernet port say 10/100.

Just checked my specs for my shite router and the WAN port is 10 Base-T. Could someone confirm what there WAN port speeds are if they got the same issue.

I thought you might be on to something there, I checked the data sheet for both routers and they both use 10/100

D-Link
Router
WAN Interface
- RJ-45 10BASE-T/100BASE-TX port
- Supports PPPoE for dial-out connection

Netgear
WAN: 10BASE-T or 100BASE-Tx, RJ-45
