hello can anybody help me out here ive got a di1010t and a led simm not a pnp one ive solderd the wires on the board and when i come to get the bk and ird keys i am stuck first i put the switch in the middle the ird is spot on with the sicker in the board and when i switch it to 1 aye get the first part ov the box key and when i put it to 2 all i get it the same as the ird nothing else changes to the lights when its switch to 2 my heads done in with it now thanks markopolo

check ur soldering and check theyare on the correct points....give just a slight pull on them to see if they come off....another thing to check.... i can't think off hand with out looking but does it need to have the soldering on the points on the pins on the other side of board, can't think of hand but there are three pins and u need to solder the outer ones together with a piece of wire

Hi,

Try powering the box up with the switch already set to 1, note down what you get, then power box down and move switch to 2 then power box up and note what you get, may or may not make a difference but worth a go.

Hi,

Have you fitted the small link lead near the battery on the other side?

And are you sure the leads pictured are not being pushed down and contacting anything else when you turn the board over to insert/read the simm?

check the led simm u are using......i don't know what difference this makes, but the one i got from someone on here afew years back has a piece of masking tape accross the points on the led simm. when i asked them if i should leave this on or take it off he said i was too leave it on....i've used it loads of times and got the correct reading from it...so does ur's have this tape it?????/

I've compared ur pic with the tut i have and they seem to be correct....

i'm not 100% sure but i think the second part of the bk relates to the pins on the other but i could be wrong....take off the link on the other side and see if it makes a dirence to the reading u are getting....it could be that they are not on correctly....

also just another thing....the tut i'm looking at is for a 1000b and the pic u have posted is correct according to mine, however u say u are using a box 1010....is the tuts the same for both these box's. i know they are the same but the model numbers are different so maybe worth checking.

no m8t it has no tape on it ive tryed all sorts now when its on 2 its the same reading on as the ird heads batterd now and when its on 1 i get the first part ov the box key

ur soldering looked ok in the pic u showed earlier, just re do the soldering on the pins on the other side of board near the battery linking the 2 outer pins together .
give me a minute and i will upload a picture of my led simm as to where this tape is on mine...it may help.

ok i found me led simm. i 2 of them and both have tape on them.....

but me phone is in the car so i have drawn a red line on this picture as to where the tape should go...
cover the silver bits with masking tape, make sure all bits are covered and then make sure the tape doesn't over hang at the bottom of it as this needs to go into the slot on the board...
once covered with tape continue as before.

hope this helps

hi tina ive done what you said its just doing what it did befor do you think the led simm is broken thanks markopolo

or will it be easyer if i just gone be a new plug in play led simm

sounds like it might be knackered mate, as ur soldering looked liked they were correct.....

depending how much patients u have and time...lol there is another method u could try and thats the voltmeter...lol

i take it u have tried the database for the bk...lol
