Hello everyone, been having a search through the archives for the last hour or so and cannot find a definitive answer to this question:-

I have a Moto 5100i (t/w) using Sigma 1.06 rc4. No probs at all that I can think of over the years I have had it. So, is it worth putting the latest version of Sigma x2 on or will there be no additional/noticeable benefits to the standard user? Anything that would help out once we get the 20mb in the area?

Sorry if it has been covered previously but have not been in this section since I tried flashing ambit 250's...with little success :)

Thanks in advance, Chris.

hi mate

i dont know about moto's but i started off with sigma 1.06 on ambit 200's and was a royal pain until i upgraded to X2 125 version then to 128 version which proved more stable, not going off every half hour or having to re-do commands after every couple of reboots of modem, but in your case mate i wouldnt like to say go for it and you find it's gone wrong.

but in my own opinion X2 128 version for ambit's were best thing for them, now i have a working 250 ambit and seems even better then than 200's, i struggled with 250's to start with but that was down to my pc playing up as why i couldnt get them to work

Good luck with what ever you do mate

Wouldn't really bother, I know on my 5100e Sigma X2 resets when you start running alot of concurrent connections, such as torrents or port scanning an ip range.

20mbit will be fine with 1.06.

Only 'good' thing about X2 is the fact that the sigma settings is located on a different port, and you still get the motorola http server on the normal port, so can see the log etc.
