red eurovox max tuner vs blue box tuner,please leave feedback

hi peeps!,I am in the manchester and have recently upgraded from the blue box to the red box which apparantely has a philps tuner instead of sammy tuner,this is being advertised as the new improved box,only to my dismay i have found the pictute quality is nothing like the old box,the picture is constantly breaking up on the channels on the lower frequencys like bravo 2 ,itv ,channel 4 e.t.c,unlike the old blue box i had which was rock solid!.I have double checked my connections ,PLEASE CAN PEOPLE LEAVE FEEDBACK OF HOW GOOD THERE BOXES ARE AND WHAT AREA THEY ARE IN SO WE CAN GET A GOOD IDEA OF HOW GOOD THESE RED BOXES ACTUALLY ARE,any feedback would be much appreciated,kind regards mark: colors1

I'm new to the MAX boxes but have a blue box and am in Manchester. Great picture, no problems. Not as good as my dream box but still pretty good for the bedroom.
 
ive got 2 blue boxes and cant fault them, perfect picture, all channels. cant think how it could be improved apart from the 16:9 issue.Not sure why they brought the 07 red box out,if it aint broke why fix it!!!
 
Red 2007 box here working perfectly with a SNR of 83%
Dads Blue 2006 box also working perfectly with a similar SNR.

Both Manchester area.
 
hi all,thanks for your feedback its much appreciated.today my internet stopped working,which confirmed there may be a weak signal coming into my house,was thinking before,i didn't have any problems until last wednesday,then remembered my next door neighbour telling me last tuesday that she had just had her cable fitted and they had to dig up our garden to run the cable to the front of there house,so its looking like they might have disturbed my connections or worse still they might have cut through my cable with there spade,im going to investigate tomorrow,i'll let you know how i get on,keep the feedback coming though,sounds like the red boxes might be okay after all,speak to you all soon,kind regards mark: colors1

hi Dell..i think you answered your own question on why they have fetched a 2007 box out...the reason being peeps like to think they are upgrading to a newer better model box..when all they are getting is a different colour packaged model..with slghtly diff hardware configoration...but i can tell you that if your a ireland user...go for the blue one,this seems to be more ireland friendly...from selling experience...but both work fine..only time will tell if the faulty eurovox on ebay issue as been sorted with the redbox2007 as all the faulty ones are eurovox 2006...we shall see..
 
crisis over!!!!!!,there was just a bad connection outside,now ive just got to find out why my starview box isn't working,ive recently flashed it with the ''260'' firmware today it decided to die as well as my sisters!!,anyone got any idea's?.Thanks for all your help everyone!!,kind regards mark
