Virgin Media HD (high def , high definition)

Hi,

Is there any box that will decrypt HD content on cable or anyone know of one coming out? I've tried searching the forum as I'm sure this ha sbeen asked a thousand times but it won't search on HD only high def and high definition but I can't seem to find anything.

I know the dbox2 and dreambox won't do it. I'm thinking of getting another dbox2 but obviously if something out there will do HD as well then that would be even better!

My freeview box picks up BBC HD on terrestrial but its just blank so I guess that needs a decoder as well?

There's one on there at the moment. What I'm getting at is don't you need a sub to get the channels or can they be modded?

Yeah that's the one on ebay I mentioned - looks rather dodgy though, 0 rating, no paypal and its the same picture as one that sold the other week (search completed items).

So plugging one of these into your current cable setup will suddenly give you all the HD channels free without having to pay for a subscription?

Does VM offer SKY Sports HD or is that only Sky - their website is cak!

For a start there is only 1 HD channel on virgin just now and thats BBC HD.

Secondly no plugging that in will not give you these channels. You would need to hope it had a paired card, unlock it and get the IRD and BK from the card. Then using the relevant tiers make a mosc and then you would have everything.

That makes things a lot clearer now. Is there any tutorials here on all of that as there is in the dbox section? I've had a quick loko but they mostly seem to be on changing samsungs and jtaggs??

theres a few films on filmflex in hd the boxes are great they run at full 1080 and 720 i watch killbill in hd for 1p
