Hi all

I'm not sure which ambit modem I have although I managed to flash the 250 Hack yesterday so i'm assuming its a 250 model.
I'm in need of a mac so i've asked my pal to check his UBR to see if he can get 1 for me.
Mine is cpc1-hart6-0-0-custxxx.midd.cable.ntl.com
He's is cpc1-hart4-0-0-custxxx.midd.cable.ntl.com

Am I right in saying the hart 6 & 4 are the segments ?

I'm trying to sniff a few myself & the majority of what i'm picking up so far are

cmreg-ntlhm120-light.cm cmreg-ntlhm120-mid.cm & a few 100's Whats the diff between mid & light & is are the no's relating to the type of modem they have ? If so will these be compatible for the 250.

The issue about the NIC would this also be detectable on a x box as iv'e been running this through my subbed modem.

& if any1 has any spare macs for the middlebrough area they could send me that would be appreciated.

Cheers all

i had problems using cmreg-ntlhm120 on a 250, so i changed to config ntlhm250-bund03.cm and used the 'force_cfgfile true' command in telnet and its running good. oh yeh, cm_tuner 19 and annex_b is needed on freq 402750000 for pure ntl. if forcing of bund03 fails, try mid.cm.

good luck,

Iv'e already caught that thread but i'm still unsure. That says lei3 & 7 which i'm summising its in leicester. I'm in Middlesbroughish & theres no no's after midd.
I'm not sure what the hart is.

Cheers all
From what I've been able to work out hart 4 and 6 are the different segments.
In my area these figures always seem to represent the ubr. Hart I guess probably stands for Hartlepool.
