MH, if you do consider the artificial route in the future, the link below send out free samples (if you find another 500 companies that do the same you will have enough for the whole back yard!) seriously though, it will give you a feel for what is available without having to trudge to several suppliers

Cheers, I got some samples yesterday. I have got a guy coming out this week to measure up to fit.
I cannot be arsed doing it myself, as my soil is very heavy clay.

for the dogs piss just empty a water can straight onto the area directly after the dog is finished, it washes the piss through and dilutes it enough not to burn or mark

Anyone in the glasgow/lanarkshire area wanting astro turf done or any garden work pm me lolololololol

dog piss will ruin astro as much as it will grass but grass is easier to treat

to be honest i would dig these patches out and put new soil in then get, PERENNIAL RYEGRASS seed and lightly sprinkle it on the new soil

don't put too much on or nothing will grow it will just suffer from "damping off" as too much seed fighting for the little nutrients in the ground prevents growth
