Apart from messing about with my satellite receiver, one of my other hobbies involves growing plants outside in the UK which most people would consider impossible.
For example. in my garden I grow unprotected palms such as Trachycarpus wagnerianus and Chamaerops humils Cerifera. The 'waggie' as the first is often referred to, is now about 12 feet in height and is absolutely breathtaking. I also have real rarities such as Trachycarpus princeps which is an absolute stunner.
A grow two species of banana outside, these being Musa basjoo and Musa sikkimensis Red Tiger. This summer, due largely to the nice weather, these have got to roughly 10 feet in height and when visitors see these, they just cannot beleive it's possible.
I could go on and on but I realise that many people would be bored stiff but I just wondered if anyone else on here shares this interest of mine.
