Youview box or freeview box

I was going to buy a freeview box but as talktalk has sent me 2 youview boxes I was wondering if it's better to buy a freeview box or just use the youview box.

Any reason why the youview box is better. I was thinking of getting a freeview box so the kids couldn't order moves.

Just use the Parental password option, and the youview box offers more facilities than a standard freeview box, particularly the backwards epg.

Could you be more specific, what do you mean about the parental option and the backwards epg. thanks in advance.

I have a you view box...it is better than free view, you can scroll upto 1 week backwards if you missed a program via the epg guide like catch up tv

You can also pay for other channels....you mention talktalk they have a tv package

bluepassat has answered your backwards epg question. The parental password function would allow you (or welsh boy) to block kids ordering movies without your consent.
