Hi all

Have been watching Freeview in Bedroom with an old roof aerial and often pixelises loses channels etc - have now got a TV card for pc so am going to have to change aerial and get double/treble leads from it to service them.

Question is can i use one aerial and if so which is most economical for my needs - i would prefer to instal a fresh one in loft myself or can i simply get an old sky dish ?

Thanks for your help

first of all m8y i dont think the sky dish will receieve all the channels as yet and i have a 91 element megaboost that receieves no signal at all in the loft but is excellent on the roof
most digital ariels have about 8db gain so splitting the cable/signal you will lose about 3 db so amplifiyers may be needed , the 91 element megaboost has a 14 db gain so will be no problem using splitters without amplification providing you use high grade satelite cable the only thing is this is a big aerial 2.2 m long and needs storm supports and 2" brackets. alot of damage if it falls from the roof hope this helps
