I've just found an old (but in pristine condition) Nokia ITV Digital Box (On Digital) in my loft.

Does anyone know if I can flash it for use with Virgin??

Thanks in advance

Benj

I would say no. The OnDigital receivers have DVB-T tuners and cable requires DVB-C.

It's only good for freeview.

you will get all the freeview channels mind you..

tho if u want top up tv will have to pay for it

I've just run a scan and it picks up hardly any channels at all lol!

Is there an update I can run on it or flash it with something to bring all of the channels in?

TIA

B

if your not getting many channels its probaably down to you aerial

Guys, can the tuner in the Nokia ITV OnDigital box be replaced with a DVB-C tuner?

Is this the only hardware difference between a DBOX2 and the Nokia ITV OnDigital or is there anything else?

nope afraid not..

best bet is to buy a sammy 2100 or pace 4000 of ebay

if you have the cash and likely playing with stuff get ya self a dreambox 500-C i believe

best thing for free cable

hello there Killer,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, I have a couple of boxes kicking about if you like to play with them, not sure if you can PM me if interested......

i can shed some light on this,

the 9850 can be fitted with a cable tuner - but it would cost way more than it's worth.
probably more than a pirate-dreambox.

also, you wont find the firmware.
trust me on this, i play with those boxes and have lot's of firmwares and i'v never seen the cable firmware dumped.
