Hey guys, recently purchased Blaze HDTV USB off the internet (ebay to be specific).

Installed etc etc... (Got a coax tv cable going into it)

Works great!.. Picks up 128+ Channels.. BUT i get no info :|

The software i have with it is BlazeDTV

This is a DVB-T USB stick.. i was wondering. what other software would gimmie the same results but with channel information ?

Thanks in advance.. Great site :)

Can you show me what you exactly bought, because dvb-t doesnt have 128+ channels... I remember when I tried the Blaze HDTV software alot of channels were duplicated...

alot are dupes. and alot dont work.. but most of the ones that do work.. dont have channel info..

Name on Box:USB DVB-T
The model is: TIY-001

Receiving Frequencys - 48.25-855.25Mhz

Yep thought so, I had the exact same problems. The application it self hasnt been updated for over a year and has many little bugs. The best program I have come across over the 2years I have now been using DVB-T has to be Nebula's DigiTV-HD which now supports BDA drivers, but you will need to purchase the BDA license which cost £29.99 + VAT I think.

I tried about 10 different applications before I stayed with DigiTV-HD, this was the only that picked up all the channels on first scan and worked flawlessly, I also like its digital text and subtitle support, which most other applications do not support. Another great advantage is that it is one of the very few apps that is constantly being improved and updated.

Hope this helps.

Other applications you might want to try are:
Media Portal
GB-PVR
ShowShifter
MythTV

ill give some feedback on the Nebula's DigiTV-HD soon :) checking it now :D thanks <3

hey, i picked up lots of channels and info with Nebula's DigiTV-HD .. BUT.. its not displaying anything.. nothing.. :S any idea?

have done.. still no display :| i can navigate through them.. but no audio or video is coming through

Hmm not sure whats happening there... Try checking all the settings again...

hmm just checked over them.. appears the signal stregth on the channels is -5192% any ideas?

Can you show me a screen shot then I can compare to mine

Hmm in fact just been looking through the settings menu and dont really know what im looking for, try email nebula or even call them up, they have great support.

where can i get this HDTV usb stick from? and what channels does it have?

Hi UKRebel.

Hope u r alright.

I came across your post and assumed you may be able to help me. Like you, I bought a USB DVB-T stick from ebay, which came with Blaze HDTV 6.0 software cd. I followed the instructions and installed the drivers for the USB device and the blaze hdtv software. Since then I've been trying to scan for channels but totally unsuccessful. I checked the signal strength using my postcode before I bought this product and the signal strength in my area (east london) was excellent. I am not sure why it still does not pick up any channels in the scan.

I have listed the details of my laptop and the general issues with scanning. I would be grateful if you can please help me with this as you have successfully used this product+software

- Laptop: pentium dual core T4200 2.0 GHz laptop with 3GB RAM
- Driver successfully installed: I can see "IT9135 BDA Device" under "sound, video, games controller" in the Device Manager. The DVB-T USB stick I have is a mini USB called PCTV Micro.
- BlazeVideo HDTV Player’s version number - 6.0
- Windows Operating System’s version - Windows Vista Home Basic SP2
- Hardware configuration (sound card, VGA card, Image Capturing card) and their specifications
Sound card: IDT High Definition Audio Codec 6.10.6209.0
Video: Intel(R) High Definition Audio HDMI 6.10.0.2067
- Main issue: The device driver, software etc seem to be successfully installed. But when I try to run the scan, there are 0 channels found. I've tried using the TV antenna, mini antenna (that came with the product), in open space. I have also played around with different frequencies, options in advanced settings, etc but nothing works. I have written to the Blaze HDTV support and they have replied with a set of FAQs suggesting the above which I had already tried before writing to them. So it wasn't of any help.

I would be grateful if you can list out the following from your Blaze HDTV setting.

Frequency range (Min and Max):

Band Width:

Advanced Settings
DTV Modulator
Constellation:
Code Rate:
Transmission Mode:
Guard Interval:
Advanced Scan
Off-center Frequency:
Retry Times:

Apologies for this mammoth quote.

Many thanks in advance.
Kind Regards
