not tried it yet but its free...

from their FAQ.

Why give your real mobile number to people you don't really know when you can give them your Privacy Number instead? If you decide you no longer want them to contact you, simply disconnect your Privacy Number and connect a new one while still keeping your mobile number. Also, should you lose you mobile phone you can simply ask us to divert your Privacy Number to a different number - nobody will ever know the difference!

Welcome to Privacy Numbers

nice one m8y, it works as well ;)

like flirt n divert but you get to screen for the psychos

Does it cost the person calling anymore money

Set it all up but when I tried it from the wifes fone it goes onto answer machine (orange)

yeah the cost must go to the person calling you i think?

If your witholding your real number from them anyway, i am sure you wont mind

I just registered and tried calling my number with a virgin sim that has 45p on it and was told i have insufishent funds to make a call so check your balances they could be charging 50p per minute for this free service, but still a handy thing to have lol

but they aint charging me for it :proud:

be a good way to stop the saturday night psycho's. not only do they not have your real number, but it uses all their PAYG credit as well (cos we all know that they use payg sims in case they get a psycho aswell) lmfao

Thought it might be a good idea for me to try it, tried twice and still haven't received an email with pin number.

Thanks will give it ago, just trying to get a good number combination. Does anyone know if you can control when you get calls and when you dont? Like being able to de-activate number without disconnecting it?

i have had two of these numbers for years. when they came out then, they were called callsure numbers for a company called redstone. it is i think, 50p a minute to call as it really a divert number. some contract phones wont even allow you to conect to them as they class them as premium rate numbers. i can divert my calls to any number in the world using these numbers
