sat general discussion

been seeing a few post asking how to set up motorized dish and other things
how about a general discussion section in sat section
there is loads on each receiver but not on general
might be there but i cannot see it sorry if it is

I think the vast majority of stuff is covered in the sub sections but you have a point on the motorised subject. Maybe a motorised section would not go a miss.

As you say, most stuff is covered, even motorised, but it can take a bit of hunting to find. I usually start hunting for something & end up getting side-tracked when I find something else more interesting lol!

Not dissing the idea but the trouble with a general sat section would be lazy posters just posting questions in the general rather than taking the trouble to use the correct section

thing is @IANB it might be as you say and yes totally agree it may well be covered in different sections
but trying to find a little piece can be a mare
was thinking of just a general off topic which is not meant to be for just one receiver
but there again it is going to be a mare for you mods/admin to move it all over
if it don't work i'm still happy i think lol

I'd say alot of it is well covered in the European Satellite Chat section,as that would be the area (Europe) that a motorized setup would give you access to,

But I suppose like most things it might need a wee update and tidy,but a lot of the stuff regarding setup etc still holds true today

without sounding as if having a dig but i had a look to direct someone to the right area and could not see anything that would say it is in here or there ( i did not know to look in European section tbh
