Whats your remedies after a curry?

Especially a chillie one? Being asian i grew up with them lol so should be good but my tolerance to even a mild curry, even something half as hot as a jalapeno doesnt really go down well.

For the sheer pain i found coke to be the best to get rid of, but not found anything for the after affects.

a 4 pint milk ice cold out the fridge and a good half hour on the bog :)
the after effects are the best part even better if i dont warn the kids av just been the toilet lol

Not when its so powerful and you start getting splashback on the bog! lol

yogurt mate. i dont seem to suffer that much and make my own chinese curry (very hot) and have plenty of jalapenos on pizzas mmmmm.

but my mrs does lol....

just get your self some plain yogurt for when you feel that burning sensation when your eating ;)

if your talking the heat in the mouth then sugar is the best ever thing to kill the heat.

It dissolves the wee barbs that the chillie taste thingys use ti hook onto the tongue and kills the heat instantly. a spoon full of sugar, you'll love me for it :D

and for later on at the other end, a big bag of baby wipes lol :p

Baileys with ice is a good one. Milk and yoghurt as been mentioned also.

bad guts lol banana takes all the heat out of it or thats what we have been given before

Mango or banana lassi for me - they are de-vine. Lots of water after! Apart from that don't think there is much you can do. I know you can put some asafatida in a curry to help stop you farting if that's any use, lol, fennel seeds help with digestion too!

Anyone got the balls to eat one of these?

nice one..order been placed..thanx sneaker..now i can fight fire with fire ..lol

Usually after having eaten something very spicy, like hot chili or spicy curry, especially if you are unaccustomed, people instinctively drink water, or other liquid, cold drinks..but without having any beneficial effect, because the capsocinoidi ( Latin definition of the chili component ) are not soluble in this liquid. You should then put a piece of bread in your mouth, drink milk or take some oil, or hard liquor, in which the substance is dissolved , and the sensation of fire in the mouth is relieved!
