You wont pick up 13east hotbird on a sky tv dish, it is way too small.

It is possible, up until about two years ago i was using a sky tv mini dish for hotbird in Telford. Was fine apart from in some wintry weather when the S*y Italy sports channels didn't work.

Yes i know but the 28.2e footprint has been changed and tightened recently. Also, signal depended on your location, up north, nope, down south gets better. Hope for decent weather aswell. I say, just get the biggest motorised dish you can get away with and get a good lnb.

Thanks for the reply I already have a 1.1meter dish I just need to know if I get a twin lnb and a disecq switch would i be able to pick up Sky uk hotbird 13e and astra 19.2 there is single lnb coming from the 1.1 meter dish I want to use hotbird service where I watch sky channels.

Alot of people in Sheffield use 1 dish for sky uk and hotbird. Iam quite sure this is still the case but iam sure one of the older heads on here will give you a definate answer...Isnt canal+sport and bein on 19.2 east anyway.

2 ways to do this you could use diseqc 2 way or on the 1.1m dish a second lnb offset to the main 1 for 28.2e it will need additional bracket and a meter to do this so probably diseqc would be easier 1 port goes to dish 1 sky port 2 13e then configure the receiver to switch between the 2 dishes

Thanks for the help I got sorted I'm now able to pick up British, Irish, German, French, Polish and Spanish channels my sub provider says those premium channels should clear

would you like to enlighten us as which method you took

you can of course motorise the 1.1m dish and pick up sats from approx. 60e to 60w depending on location and line of sight or multiple lnbs can be mounted on the dish for diseqc switching of 4-5 or six sats using diseqc

A sat installer did it for me he charged me £55 for this installation gonna have to ask him for more info not sure all these channels just 2 euros a month as an offer I got.

My installer used a 3 way lnb port for 28.2e 19.2e and hotbird 13e and he put a diseqc switch for me this is a great way to watch Premier league games that's not on Sky or Bt Sport but it's in foreign language the advantage you get is Canal plus sport is in HD they show 3pm and non televised boxing day or new years eve games.

Did he put the 19°LNB in the middle? I once tried to get Astra 2 and HB on the same dish but 15° apart was too much, even on a 1.3m dish.

28.2e on the right Hotbird 13e on the left and Astra 19.2e on the bottom I get way too many channels didnt know Cardsharing was only about 28.2e the HD picture quality on 19.2e and hotbird 13e is superb its on par with Sky hd

You can get at least 10 on a torrodial t90 dish . I'm in ireland have it centred on hotbird. get from 30e to 4.8 w. anyone try to get the three above sats on a 60cm non sky dish? be very handy if you could.

Is it possible to have 0.8w, 4.8E and 13E on the same dish ?

Theoretically, yes. But a lot depends on your location, how strong the signals are from each of them and of course the size of your dish. A torroidal dish would be your best bet but they are not cheap.

This example is probably spanning 19°E to 30°W.

FWIW, I have a standard 90cm dish receiving Astras 1, 2, 3 and Hotbird- a span of roughly 15°- which is about the same as you're after.

Looked at a torrodial dish. Now I have a 80cm dish with two LNB. Want more channels.

You can always go motorised, as I have done.

Admittedly, you have only one satellite current, so you cant record from one sat while watching another, but if you dont need that, it only takes a second to flip between those 3 sats.

As has been said, it depends on your location and the size of your dish, but my 80cm does well in France
