Hi all.
I am new to the forum and to satellite tv,so excuse my ignorance. I am getting all my bits and pieces together, and so far I only have the box,a Technomate TM 5400. My next piece is the dish, and here goes my first Q. I am looking at an 85cm VIASAT dish, but I don't know if it will pick up Hotbird and Astra as I read in some forums something about "nordic beams"so I need confirmation as to "is it or not the right item.
I will be fitting the dish with a 6 degree monoblock.
If I am going wrong somewhere please put me right will you?
My location is north Birmingham
Kind regards...PHIL

Hi DICK,many thanks for your reply, the satellite pointer is brilliant,it should help a lot.
I am spanish, and I miss watching TEVi =telivision espanola internacional which I could do with Sky,but now they have switch off that facility,so,I believe that channel is being transmitted by Hotbird and I hope to get it and as many as possible into the bargain.
Regards,PHIL

Hello Guys,

Im also new to the Forum and im finding it very useful. Im looking to buy a motorised dish setup, primarily looking for English channels. Can anyone recommend the set up that would suit this?

Thanks Mike

I've just got a 1m gibertini dish, as it was highly recommended on the forum

on 19E the following FTA spanish channels are available on 11.509V 22000.TV Canaria,TV Galicia and Cubavision Int.
