Hello all,

I have been playing with my mates Techomate 5400 super. He has a motorised setup. His pole etc is plum.
Here is the thing. We have found Thor and on one transponder got 97% strength 90& level. So were happy with this.
BBC World plays fine. One question is why some of the other free channels which have quality 88% showing when you turn to them and say free do not display anything.
We then went and used Usuals, and went to Hotbird, we had a decent strength and picked up several free italian channels. But again channels that I expected to pick up even though they were encyrpted showed 22& e.g. JSTV normally on hotbird it shows a green bar etc. Same with some of the other encrypted channels as well as the free ones.
Is there something we need to change slightly. Do we need to adjust the angle of the dish or change the skew of the LNB? As I can not get BBC World on the Hotbird channel either.
I know it might sound a silly question but when it says free and the quality 88% or higher and you get a blank channel it does not make sense to me.
Any advice on this would be greatly appreciated.
There are also so many different transponders to choose from how do i tell which one I should be using?

Thanks for any advice given
