Here is a job i have been to today on a 8 storey apartment block where a 2.4 meter dish had been installed.

The high wind has blown it across the roof, twice i was told.

It was not bolted down just a concrete base SOME PEOPLE.

some crazy people in this world thats for sure?

Thought i'd show pics of the finished job, replaced the Skin, Lnb, and damaged cables made a frame fixed the stand down and added more concrete for support.

Just had 90km hr winds here in Spain aswell, and aint moved a millimeter yet.

But his Thomson Hd box caps have just gone, the customer is not having much luck, had a spare hd box to lend him whilst his is being repaired, so i am his star man at the mo lol.

nice looking install mate but cant help think why has it not been motorised

It for English Tv in Spain mate, the signal is really week hear for channels on Astra 2d BBC, ITV, C4,C5 etc so they have to really fine tuned, and its for an apartment block with 16 people sharing, so moving it would cause a riot :) lol.

looks like the bracket is held down with play doh m8 lol

im sure i know him in the middle picture ;)

Solid stuff that play doh, lol.

Yeah fatter than i used to be, i need to slim up and get my title back from me bro, the slimmest one in the family :) lol.

nice pics and good work......wat is it being held down by lol......

good job it didnt go another foot over the roof...could of been a lot worse....

You spur me on pinky, title mine before i'm 30 haha.

And thanks yeah i did have a good teacher, he was older and wiser ;)

Also terminator its being help down by play doh didn't you see digi's post lol.

No it is bolted with 16mm plugs 14mm x 100mm long bolts, and 400cm steel rods in the old concrete base to tie it to the new concrete base i put on top, solid never gonna move, seriously i was taught by the best, hats of to pinky.

never seen a 2.4m dish! its huge! didnt think you'd need one that big for astra in spain!!

Mister uk tv spain, I am sure you are the master pro dude nowadays, and learn ya self! There will always be the need for someone out there to clean up the mess after cowboy installers, such as this case. Its good to hear when your brand name still has the high regard and gets recommendation for those bigger jobs. All in the trade there know you have the solutions ;) Its good to see the pics on here though, its interesting for us peasants in the uk with dinner-plate dishes.

Thanks mate, the brand name has always stood us well, and we have not needed to advertise for 6 months now, so recommendations is the best form of advertising, proven.

Work comes to us, and we repay them with great service, after sales and general customer reasurrance.

I will get some pictures together of all the bad installations i can and post them, there is plenty of cowboys in Spain so it wont be hard.

Thanks everyone for looking.
