Hi everyone, jsut a quick question. I have an ART Sports sub and a motorised sat system. I want to stear completely clear of the cs route.

I have seen this past weekend that Sitel Television were listed on LJ's as showing a few games in FTA. However, when the game started, the signal on my satellite was scrambled.

I had the same thing with Lider TV last season.

My question is this; what encryption method is used by these two channels when the game is on? And how might one (if one chose to do so) go about un-scrambling the channels?

I've been scratching my head trying to figure out how on earth the "legitimate" viewers from each respective country go about watching the football when it is scrambled.... presumably there is no viewing card for these channels because they are normally fta!!

Sorry if this is a stupid question and I know I haven't been here long, but given that Sitel were listed as showing a 3pm sat game this past weekend, I figure this could help many

maybe there FTA but due to premier league restrictions they cant legally show matches in FTA so they resort to a FTV encryption like what Sky TV do with channel 5, Channel 4 HD even though they are FTA channels

what was the channel name do you remember? kingofsat might be able to offer a more in depth view on the channel

Hi mate. Yeah the channel name is Sitel Television (Not 2 or 3 but just TV) and also Lider TV. I know that they are definitely going encrypted just for the duration of the Premier League matches.

That's what I was wondering... how do we find out what encryption they are using and is there a way around it?

Cheers. :)

Quick google.

Lider is encrypted with BISS.. and is currently unknown as far as i have found so far

Sorry... I'm really new to this whole satellite game :blushing:

So does this mean that neither of those channels can be opened then?

OK. Is there any way to obtain one of these? And what sort of cost would I be looking at? Thanks for all the replies, by the way, I really appreciate it :)

Yeah I've been contemplating one of those :) The only thing was that because I already have the ART sub card that shows all the sly/espn games and a lot of the mid-week games too, I wondered whether it might be more cost effective to go down the sitel/lider route.

Thanks for your replies, much appreciated. :)

I think I will have a dig around on the net and see if I can find anything about sitel sub card etc. If not, then I'm thinking it will be Diema :)

I've seen that Tring Sat are offering them for quite a reasonable cost, do you know if there are any cheaper suppliers out there? Obviously we all like to bag as big of a bargain as we can :)

Thanks again.
