Hi

I have a motorised dish setup

and have managed to get the channels from 1w thor

But as soon as i move the motor to another satalite i get no channels and the signal is low

I have checked that the pole is vertical

If i move the dish manually ie loosen the bolt and swing it round the pole i can pick up the other satelites

What have i done wrong, its doing my head in lol

thanks in advance

when on thor is your motor set to zero and what receiver is it

is the motor upside down???

lol motor isnt upside down lol

its a technomate 1600

and yes the motor is set to zero

In my (very) limited experience, I believe that when you are getting channels on Thor you shouldn't be on zero? Slightly off zero i think. This may be why you are not hitting the other satellites. I am, however, fully prepared to bow down to the superior knowledge of anyone who wants to correct me. lol.

No mate move your dish to thor 1w by hand make sure ur lattitude is dead on and then also make ur ur tilt is perfect on ur dish then move the wole unit including ur motor together to 1w.Remember ur motor should still be on 0 when u have your best signal tighten up each nut on ut motor bracket the same otherwise this will send it out by a mile.

then enter lat and long in ur receiver and move to any sats u shjould be ok

thats right isnt it Bro i watched you for hours if i can remember and thats how u did it wasnt it.

When i set mine up with thor 1 west and then moves to astra at 28.2e i had low signal and no picture either and all i had to do was drive it east or west with the remote a bit to fine tune it.

It only takes a tiny amount and your signal can go from 64% to 95%.
