Step 1. Use a decent online calculator, such as E-Liquid-Recipes (ELR). eLiquid Calculators give users the ability to input variables and it will work out the correct percentages of each flavour to add to the bottle.

Step 2. Don't be afraid to ask for advice! People learn off others, there are plenty of resources and I will help wherever I can.

Step 3. After you have done your initial research, gather your ingredients. Some company abbreviations you need to know are - (CAP) Capella, (TPA/TFA) The Perfumers Apprentice/The Flavour Apprentice, (FA) Flavour Art, (LA) Loranne, (FLV) Flavora, (FW) Flavor West.

Step 4. Measure by weight (if you can). Although it is not a neccesity, I could not recommend this method enough. It is by far the easiest way of making eliquid. There are more in depth tutorials out there that will show you what to do if you get stuck.

Step 5. If you are creating a recipe from scratch instead of following one. Go in low on percentages, you can always add to a recipe but can't take away.

Step 6. Make small samples (5ml) and see if you like what it is you have made before making more.

Step 7. Be sure to rotate the juices to ensure the juice steeps for a decent length of time. Sometimes airing the juices will also help the flavours blend and kill any that overpower the juice.

Step 8. Leave juices in a cool, dark area to steep. (Airing cupboard or drawer is fine).

Step 9. Put one drop of the flavour concentrate in 4ml of tepid water and stir. Swish it around your mouth and gums for 2 mins then spit it out. This is a great insight into how your flavour will taste.
