Hi All,
Looking to get a cable receiver to replace my satellite tuner (vu+ solo2).
Twin tuner would be a bonus but most of all it needs to be snappy. Would like to spend £50-£150.
Which is recommended? I've done a search but some of the threads are very old now.
Thanks

i got one of the Edision OS MINI twin s2 receivers a few months back and was very impressed with it. It was just as fast as my solo2 but with build in BT and Wifi, all for £99.

they do a cable model of the same receiver i think.

Have a look at the Zgemma H5. 2TC Costs around £110 and is a very good twin tuner cable box.

Ordered one yesterday, for a mate..hopefully will have it tomorrow...it's one of the newer ones for 2017...has a faster processor, Twin cable tuners, and a SD card slot...will play around with it

Thanks for the helpful replies.

So from looking at the specs:

Edision is single tuner cable, has wifi/BT - costs £99
Solo2SE is dual tuner, best ram/cpu - costs £169
Zgemma is triple tuner (one sky), same cpu/ram as edision - costs £110

None of them can house a 2.5" HDD internally which is a shame and none have gigabit ethernet.

Not sure how useful wifi/BT is and only one tuner may rule out the Edision.
Zgemma looks to have edged it but does it support Openvix fully? I cant see downloads for zgemma on the Openvix site.

All of them seem to be a downgrade from my 4 year old Solo2.

The edision os mini single tuner DVB-C is only £79 not £99 that is for the Sat/Cable combo.

BT is very handy for a keyboard to use with Kodi. typing with the remote does my head in. its not till you use it you realise how handy it is. just searching the epg for a show saves a few minutes.

May splash out a little more.

What do you guys think of the Mutant HD51 (£189) or other boxes in that price bracket?
