How to: Full colour picons on front oled dm800 se dbuk image

The below is how to get full colour picons to display on the front OLED of the DM800SE, running a DBUK image. Not my work, originally posted by Rossi2000 on DBUK.

standard picons will work fine. mine are located as usual in /media/usb

extract the zip and put the skin_display96.xml file in /usr/share/enigma2
and overwrite the existing one

once done, restart enigma2

Ive found a picon that dont show in the front display screen lol
no big deal tbh just thought id mention it :)

maybe its just me ?

sorry to be thick but what are these picons?
 
Channel icons, if you like you can have them displayed on the small screen at the front of the box as well as in the infobar etc :)

excellent will they work on any image for the 800se?
not 100% which one ive got on mine at the mo!

This works on all PLI based images not sure about other images.
 
dum question but what are th picons for? is it the small screen on front of the DM800SE?
 
Will try ,thanks for it, I'm trying to install oled picons on my imgs.
