I have tried to upgrade from one image to another (Gemini). I wife uses the timer option to change channels so that an external recorder can record.

Once upgraded, I have tried to copy back the timer.epl file back so that I did not have to reinput all the timer settings.

Even doing this, the timer settings do not copy over.

Anyone got any ideas on how to recover the timer settings on to a new image.

I guess no one users the timer on a dreambox. Oh well. I will have to keep manually inputting the timers each time upigrade to a new image.

if you set up dreambox command centre goto settings it has the option to backup services ,bouquets playlist, timerlist .
just name setup a name in the drop down menu and then on the right handside u can tick/untick what u want to backup ,then restore it on another image as i just leave mine all ticked for except config.
i have never setup a timerlist . the option is there so give it a try let us no how u get on

Good spot. Thanks for the info. I will try tomorrow.

After replacing the timer.epl try loading web browser and visiting http://192.168.1.x/cgi-bin/reloadTimerList

Replace the IP with IP of dreambox.
