willi have 2 put the orignal firm ware back onto dream box dm500 re108 before the new uk05 image is put on
then with the new image can i still use flash wizard pro because i prefere this method thannks:Mad2:

I used dream up to flash Uk04b off and then instead of putting the original software back just put Uk05 on using dreamup

I did this twice. The firsttime I ticked flash erase and bits of uk05 went missing. second time i said no to erase flash.

It loaded i about 15 minutes and has been stable now for nearly 24 hours.

BTW dont do a full scan its useless.. Do a fast scan

hey hopeful r u one of the beta testers? so wot do u think of the new image?

uko5 beta is a great image but theres one or two probs with it but there being worked on, direct recording works a treat and theres a few more treats with it. a FTA uk05 will be here on wod very soon for all to try

have been using uk05 but have to say that Im not using it to stream stuff etc.
Compared to UK04:
Flashy startup back to the neutrino woosh but with cool pics
Loads bits (games etc)
Tells you you have no channels.
First attempt wouldnt let you choose provider and so wouldnt scan at all
Second attempt (with dreamup and no flash erase) gave a complete image that has been stable now for 24 hours.
It has more options in the menu including a special oneoc:
The default menu colours are clearer.
Tried a full scan which lasted a couple of hours and then told me it had found nothing:FRIGHT:
On advice from osborne82 i tried the fast scan and hay presto it worked. Nice details which keep you up to date with what its doing.
THe bouquet system is the same as UK04 to use very easy.
Having set it up I had the remote taken of me by family who insisted on using it to watch TV.

Sio far no freezes or gliches in just the basic stuff :banana:

It will be via Software Update over the internet direct from the box, UK05_BETA80 will need to be already installed for the update to work

cant wait has the bouqet prob been sorted or is it still hit and miss
