New Toy DM800se V2 arrived.......read on!

OK, firstly, this is not what i ordered. so firstly, i am asking in advance just in case i brick it. Doi just flash as normal for a DM800se? and what is the favourite cable image folks are using for this? on the normal 800se im using a pli 4.0 modified image from here. courtesey of JTH. any input would be greatfully recieved.

Flashing is the same mate just use the correct image for the sim type your box has and obviously you need to use the V2 images.

any links to back up cable ones? this is for a friend. i had everything sitting on my desktop ready to go and they sent me this!!! i can only see sat versions.

No backups im aware of, problem is the v2 is not that popular.

Just use any image for cable as you would for sat

With regards to images, there is no distinction between cable and satellite. If there was, you would need one for cable, another for satellite, another for terrestrial and also variants depending on combinations/permutations.

EPG:
The Virgin EPG patch by Lraizer was addded to OE-A images then PLi images in July 2014 IIRC. Provided you have an image after this date you will be fine.

Bouquets:
You can use Lraizer's Autobouquets for cable or ABM. Lraizer's one is better suited for single tuner receivers as it operates whilst on current channel

The rest of the plugins/addons is pretty much the same. We have plugins distributed between Vu+ and Dreambox downloads.

Just run a openatv image on it mate it hass all your need to cope with cable.
